The company’s three major areas of operation include Permian Basin of West Texas, the Haynesville Shale play in northern Louisiana and offshore in the US Gulf of Mexico. CPC is headquartered in Natchez, the US. The company intends to increase its reserves and production levels by using cash flows from Gulf of Mexico properties to acquire and develop lower risk, long-life onshore oil and natural gas proper. It plans to increase its reserve life and predictability of production by focusing on acquisition and development of long-life onshore properties.
